The brownie camera was, for many older generations, their entry into the magic of photography. It was plastic, cheap and beautifully designed. This one has been in my collection for years, and I sometimes wonder who used it and what memories they captured. The idea of capturing memories was the reason I fell in love with photography, and eventually led me into a wonderful career behind the camera. I still love photography and I embrace the speed and ease of new technology. But there is something I still deeply appreciate about using film - the ritual and patience of waiting to see what would be revealed.
